Detectives of the Territorial Department ESBU in Kyiv and Kyiv region exposed and stopped the activities of 5 establishments that carried out illegal gambling activities.

The investigation established that gambling establishments worked for a long time without creating a legal entity and accordingly without paying taxes.

Employees of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine on the basis of the rulings of the District Court of Kyiv conducted 5 searches at the location of illegal gambling facilities in the Holosiivskyi, Darnytskyi and Obolonskyi districts of Kyiv.

The searches revealed and seized 77 system units, 65 monitors and other inventory necessary for organizing and conducting gambling services. In addition UAH 20 thousand in cash was seized. The seized property was recognized as material evidence in the criminal proceedings.

The pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings, based on the signs of criminal offenses provided for in Part 1 of Art. 203-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal activity of organizing or conducting gambling games, lotteries) is carried out by detectives of the Territorial Department ESBU in the city of Kyiv and the Kyiv region under the procedural guidance of prosecutors of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.

Employees of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine constantly check the activities of business entities for the legality of offline and online casinos, betting, slot machines and take measures to stop illegal activities.

Since the beginning of the year, detectives of the Territorial Department ESBU in the city of Kyiv and the Kyiv region have already closed 58 gambling establishments.
