The Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine is the first and currently the only body with an analytical component at the heart of its activities. For its implementation, information and analytical units have been created and function within the structure of the Central office and Territorial Departments of the ESBU.
Analysts of the Bureau by the Law of Ukraine "On the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine":
- assess threats and risks of criminal offenses under the jurisdiction of the ESBU;
- predict their spread;
- develop ways to minimize, eliminate, and prevent them;
- carry out information search and analytical work;
- create analytical products based on information resources and materials of criminal proceedings.
