Main tasks:

• organizing legal work aimed at correct application, strict observance, and prevention of non-compliance with the requirements of legislation and other regulatory acts by the ESBU its Territorial Departments as well as their managers and employees in the performance of their tasks and functional duties;
• representing the interests of the ESBU in courts;
• directing and coordinating legal work in the ESBU and the Territorial Departments providing methodological guidance to legal work and reviewing its implementation.

Main functions:

• reviewing draft orders and other acts submitted to the Director of the ESBU for signature for compliance with the legislation and international treaties of Ukraine;
• provide legal advice to employees and heads of structural units on the correct application of the law, explaining the application of the law in the performance of their tasks and functional responsibilities;
• ensure self-representation of the ESBU and the Territorial Departments of the ESBU in courts;
• developing and participating in the development of draft legal acts on issues within the competence of the ESBU;
• conducting legal expertise of draft legal acts prepared by the structural units of the ESBU.
