The ESBU in the Lviv exposed a network of stores selling contraband cigarettes: products worth UAH 16 million were seized

 Detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Lviv region shut down a network of stores selling contraband electronic cigarettes and liquids used in them.

Employees of the ESBU conducted searches at retail outlets selling excise goods in Lviv and in the vehicles of the suspects.

As a result of the investigative actions, detectives of the ESBU discovered and seized: disposable electronic vaporizers, liquids for electronic cigarettes of various brands, a total of more than 48,000 units of glycerin, nicotine, and flavorings, cash obtained from criminal activities, mobile phones, laptops, etc.

The approximate value of the seized excisable goods is about UAH 16 million.

A pre-trial investigation is ongoing on the grounds of a criminal offense under Part 1 of Article 201-4 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (smuggling of excise goods).

The proceedings are being conducted by prosecutors from the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
