Detectives of the Territorial Department of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in Kyiv region exposed and stopped the activities of 5 illegal gambling establishments that were engaged in the organization and conduct of gambling and lotteries in Bila Tserkva.

The institutions were arranged in non-residential premises and worked in closed mode. There were no recognizable signs or advertisements. Clients agreed on a visit to the hall in advance with the administrator of the illegal establishment.

The business brought considerable profit - they earned from 20 to 50 thousand hryvnias per day. The assortment of gambling games was diverse: poker, lotteries, slots, "wheel of fortune", etc.

During the searches detectives of the ESBU seized material evidence of illegal activities: computer equipment, video cameras, thermal printers, flash drives and draft records.

Currently the full range of persons involved in illegal activities is being established.

The pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 203-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal activity of organizing or conducting gambling games, lotteries) continues.

Procedural management is carried out by prosecutors of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
