Based on ESBU materials, a Kyiv court convicted a woman of submitting false data for business registration

 Following an investigation by detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in Kyiv, a woman was found guilty by a court of submitting false information for the state registration of a business.

The pre-trial investigation established that the woman agreed to become the formal founder and head of a company in exchange for a monetary reward. To complete the registration, she provided her personal documents and signed prepared forms containing inaccurate information, which were then submitted to the state registrar.

The suspect had no intention of conducting business activities and acted under the instruction of unidentified individuals. After the registration was completed, she received the agreed payment, while the company was actually used by third parties.

ESBU detectives gathered sufficient evidence, including registration documents and a forensic expert's report. The defendant fully admitted her guilt.

Having reviewed the materials of the criminal proceedings, the court found the individual guilty of committing a criminal offense under Part 2 of Art. 205-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (forgery of documents submitted for the state registration of a legal entity).

Prosecutorial oversight was provided by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.

The Territorial Office of the ESBU in Kyiv once again warns citizens against participating in fictitious business registration schemes, as such actions entail criminal liability.
