Taras Shcherbai, First Deputy Director of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine, held a working meeting with the World Bank Group Office in Ukraine.
During the meeting, Taras Shcherbai presented the strategic priorities for the institution's development, key achievements, and the main challenges faced by the Bureau.
The parties discussed in detail the practical aspects of implementing the priority of the analytics principle in the Bureau's work and the impact of preventive measures on reducing the level of the shadow economy. Other focal points of the meeting included the further strengthening of the ESBU's institutional capacity, expanding areas of international cooperation, modernizing the information and digital infrastructure, and improving professional staff training.
In turn, representatives of the World Bank Group Office in Ukraine noted the ESBU's progress in strengthening its institutional capacity and emphasized the importance of continued partnership, specifically the opportunities to support the Bureau's initiatives aimed at developing analytical tools, reducing the level of the shadow economy, and enhancing economic security.
The ESBU expresses gratitude to the World Bank Group Office in Ukraine for constructive cooperation, professional exchange, and long-standing support of Ukraine's institutional development.
