The Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine has agreed with the National center for control and testing of space means on the algorithm for obtaining information by detectives and analysts who use ground or space means in particular satellite images. The resulting satellite images will be used to search for found crimes, tracing, hidden assets, etc., as well as evidence base in criminal proceedings.
This is provided for in the Memorandum of cooperation between the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine and the National center for control and testing of space means which was signed today by the heads of the organizations.
"The images provided by the Center have a high spatial resolution and provide accurate, reliable and timely data. This will allow the Bureau to warn, qualitatively and quickly investigate crimes in the economic sphere and eliminate them. The analytical component of the Bureau will be significantly strengthened", - noted the Director of the ESBU, Vadym Melnyk.
"The strategic partnership will strengthen the potential of the Bureau and improve the quality of data collection on the damage caused to the state's economy. The data can be used to detect offenses, for example in the agricultural sector, forestry and other industries," said the head of the Center, Volodymyr Prysiazhny.
The signed Memorandum also provides for the Bureau's use of the available intellectual and material resources of the Center.
