The detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Kyiv region exposed a group of people who organized the illegal sale of tobacco products.

The investigation established that tobacco products without excise tax stamps were delivered to the territory of Kyiv region.

Counterfeit products were sold through a network of retail outlets in the city of Bila Tserkva. In addition, electronic cigarettes were sold through social networks with delivery throughout Ukraine.

According to the results of searches of places of storage and sale, more than 14,000 containers with liquids for electronic cigarettes and 1,400 devices for smoking, etc., were seized from illegal circulation. The estimated value of seized excise goods is more than UAH 5.5 million.

Currently, investigative actions are ongoing, and the full range of persons involved in illegal activities is being established.

Operative support is carried out by employees of the State Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and Kyiv region, procedural management by prosecutors of the Kyiv regional prosecutor's office.
