Detectives of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine exposed a group of companies in large-scale tax evasion.

It was established that in 2020-2022, these companies documented transactions for the alleged supply of dairy products that were not actually supplied.

In addition the companies' officials substituted commodity items and entered false information into the Register of Tax Invoices. These actions led to the evasion of UAH 13.5 million in VAT.

During the pre-trial investigation a number of authorized searches were conducted. Detectives of the ESBU found and seized documents, counterfeit products and products without documentary evidence.

In one of the warehouses they also found a handicraft workshop for packaging dairy products under the trademarks of well-known manufacturers.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

Prosecutors of the Prosecutor General's Office are providing procedural guidance.
