A working meeting was held at the Ministry of Defense with the participation of Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov and Acting Director of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine Andrii Pashchuk.

During the meeting, the heads of the agencies agreed on the algorithm for transferring the MoD internal audit materials for the ESBU specialists to conduct relevant inspections. They discussed the mechanism for the prompt exchange of information on defense procurement.

According to Dmytro Klimenkov, the Ministry of Defense continues to implement preventive measures, reforming the procurement sector in the department.

"We strive to build the most efficient procurement system. Therefore, we are ready for open cooperation with law enforcement agencies," the Deputy Minister said.

For his part, the head of the Economic Security Bureau, Andrii Pashchuk, emphasized that such cooperation between the agencies will prevent significant losses of budget funds and make the defense procurement process fully transparent and efficient.

"The Economic Security Bureau has a well-established mechanism for analyzing procurement and its participants. Thanks to the recommendations of the ESBU specialists, last year alone, more than UAH 1.5 billion of thefts in this area were prevented," said Andrii Pashchuk.

At the end of the meeting, the participants identified priority areas of cooperation, including the exchange of information on the procurement of services for the construction of fortifications, as well as the supply of food for the units of the Ministry of Defense.
