The ESBU in Volyn has secured the reimbursement of nearly UAH 9 million in unpaid taxes

 Detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Volyn region have completed a pre-trial investigation into a former company director who evaded nearly 9 million UAH in taxes. The company, which operates in the agricultural sector, has fully reimbursed the damages caused to the state.

The investigation established that between 2022 and 2024, the official understated the company's income and tax liabilities for corporate income tax and value-added tax. To achieve this, he deliberately entered false information into tax reports. As a result, nearly 9 million UAH was not paid to the state budget.

Within the criminal proceedings, the former director was notified of suspicion under Part 2 of the Art. 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional tax evasion in large amounts).

The case materials have been sent to court with a motion to exempt the individual from criminal liability due to the full restitution of the damages.

The amount of damages was determined based on the results of a documentary audit conducted by the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in the Volyn region.

Procedural oversight is carried out by prosecutors of the Volyn Regional Prosecutor's Office.
