The ESBU in the Poltava region stops illegal production of e-cigarette liquids

 Detectives from the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in the Poltava region exposed a group of individuals who were illegally manufacturing and selling excise goods.

According to the investigation, three men organized the production of e-cigarette liquids in Poltava without the necessary permits or licenses.

The products were sold throughout Ukraine via postal deliveries. Orders were accepted via a Telegram channel and website. The estimated quarterly turnover of this illegal trade amounted to over UAH 2 million.

During the pre-trial investigation, a number of searches were conducted, including at the site of illegal production. Equipment, raw materials, and ready-made e-cigarette liquids were seized and placed under arrest. The estimated value of the seized items exceeds UAH 1 million.

All three accomplices have been notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 28 and Parts 1 and 2 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal manufacture, storage, and sale of excisable goods committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy).

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
