Detectives of the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau in the Poltava region stopped the activity of three workshops for the illegal production of liquor and vodka products in the Kharkiv region. The estimated value of seized excise goods and equipment is more than UAH 3 million.

The investigation established a group of persons who established a full cycle of production of ethyl alcohol, alcohol distillate, and strong alcoholic beverages. Without special permits, those involved sold manufactured alcoholic products in local stores and a chain of food establishments.

During the authorized searches, detectives seized more than 18,000 liters of alcohol and almost 6,000 liters of vodka products in plastic bottles and tetra packs. Currently, they have been arrested for the deprivation of the right of possession, use, and disposal.

Pre-trial investigation under part 3 of Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is carried out by the detectives of TO of the ESBU in Poltava region.
