In the Poltava region, a company director will stand trial for tax evasion of nearly UAH 5 million

 Detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Poltava region have completed a pre-trial investigation and submitted an indictment to the court against the executive director of a company specializing in animal feed production.

According to the investigation materials, the company consistently entered knowingly false data into its accounting and tax reports over an extended period.

Specifically, the director artificially inflated raw material costs and recorded the alleged purchase of materials from agricultural enterprises in official documents. In reality, the grain was purchased from various producers using cash. As a result, inaccurate financial reports were submitted to regulatory authorities, allowing the company to evade UAH 4.8 million in taxes.

The company director has been notified of suspicion under Part 1 of the Act. 212 and Part 1 of Art. 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional tax evasion and forgery by an official).

To recover the damages caused to the state, an arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect's property.

The pre-trial investigation is now complete, and the indictment has been submitted to the court.

Pursuant to Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine (a person is presumed innocent of a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court's verdict of conviction).
