Detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Volyn region have completed a pre-trial investigation into the illegal acquisition, transportation, and storage of counterfeit alcoholic beverages and diesel fuel for sale.
The indictment has been submitted to the court.
The investigation established that the man, without having a business registration or the necessary licenses, illegally purchased and transported excise goods for subsequent sale.
He has been previously convicted multiple times for committing similar crimes.
During the search of the vehicle used by the suspect to transport excise products, ESBU detectives discovered and seized nearly 200 liters of alcohol and counterfeit liquor labeled as cognac, 16 barrels of diesel fuel totaling over 3,000 liters, and the vehicle itself. The seized property has been placed under arrest.

Expert analysis confirmed that the seized alcohol products and fuel are counterfeit and do not meet state quality standards.
Detectives notified the suspect of suspicion under Part 2 of the Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—illegal acquisition, transportation, and storage for the purpose of sale of illegally manufactured excise goods, committed by a person previously convicted under this article.
Operational support was provided by the Strategic Investigations Department (DSR) of the National Police in the Volyn region. Procedural guidance is carried out by the Volyn Regional Prosecutor's Office.
