Illegal fuel sales: ESBU dismantled unlawful gas stations in the Ivano-Frankivsk region

 Detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Zakarpattia region have uncovered and shut down a network of illegal gas stations operating in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. The illegally installed fuel stations have been dismantled.

The investigation established that the gas stations were engaged in the retail sale of fuel of unknown origin without the necessary permits. Specifically, they lacked retail licenses, quality certificates, and documentation confirming the origin of the fuel.

As part of the criminal proceedings, ESBU detectives conducted searches at four gas stations. During the investigative actions, they seized over 28,000 liters of diesel fuel, 21,000 liters of gasoline of unknown origin, as well as 8 fuel storage tanks and fuel dispensers.

The illegally installed gas stations have been dismantled.

The pre-trial investigation is being carried out under Parts 1 and 2 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal manufacture, storage, or sale of excisable goods).

Investigative actions are ongoing. Procedural oversight of the criminal proceedings is provided by prosecutors of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
