The ESBU in the Vinnytsia region sent a case regarding the illegal sale of e-cigarette liquids to the court

 Detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Vinnytsia region have completed a pre-trial investigation into individuals who organized the retail trade of illegal excise goods. The indictments have been submitted to the court.

The pre-trial investigation established that two female suspects organized the sale of e-cigarette liquids without the required license. They sold the illegal goods through specialized shops located in Vinnytsia.

During sanctioned searches at the retail locations, ESBU detectives discovered and seized containers of flavorings, nicotine, and glycerin, as well as POD systems and cartridges.

The liquid containers did not feature the mandatory labeling («e-cigarette liquid» or «e-cigarettes with liquid»), nor did they include medical warnings or excise tax stamps. Consequently, the sale of such products is prohibited on the territory of Ukraine.

Criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal acquisition for the purpose of sale, storage for such purpose, and sale of illegally manufactured excise goods), along with the indictments, have been submitted to the court.

During the court proceedings, the defendants voluntarily transferred funds in the amount of UAH 300,000 to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Operational support was provided by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Vinnytsia Region. Prosecutorial oversight was conducted by the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office.
