Detectives of the Territorial Department of the Economic Security Bureau in Poltava region secured the refund of over UAH 8 million of unpaid taxes to the state budget.

Officials of the company were identified who underreported the amount of income received from the sale of textiles for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in their tax reports. Such actions resulted in a large-scale loss of funds to the state budget.

In the course of the investigation the company voluntarily reimbursed the entire amount of losses incurred by the state. The amount of funds transferred to the state budget is UAH 8.8 million. The criminal proceedings were sent to court.

The pre-trial investigation into tax evasion is being conducted by detectives of the Territorial Department ESBU in Poltava region under the procedural supervision of the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's office.

For reference. Violation of Part 3 of Art. 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine are punished by a fine of fifteen thousand to twenty-five thousand non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years with confiscation of property.

We will remind you that since the beginning of 2023 the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine has provided compensation for damages in all criminal proceedings for a total amount of over UAH 800 million.
