Detectives of the Territorial Department of the ESBU in Kyiv conducted 5 searches at the addresses of underground casinos. All the establishments were organized by one group of people.

They operated without any licenses and permits, avoiding taxes and violating the curfew.

During the searches the detectives seized specialized equipment, cash and draft accounting. In particular more than 140 pieces of computer equipment and more than a hundred other devices, printers for issuing checks with gambling access codes, etc.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings under Part 2 Art. 203-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is ongoing. The procedural supervision is carried out by prosecutors of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.

In total within the framework of the work of the interdepartmental investigation group, in December, detectives of the Territorial Department of the ESBU in Kyiv conducted 33 searches in the premises of illegal gambling establishments. The estimated value of the seized property is over UAH 10 million.
