The detectives of the Territorial Department of the ESBU in Volyn region completed a pre-trial investigation against a resident of Lutsk in the case of illegal acquisition, storage and transportation of alcoholic beverages.

During the investigation detectives if the ESBU discovered and seized illegal products from him. The goods had the markings of well-known brands and were pasted with excise tax stamps with signs of counterfeiting.

The results of the forensic technical examination confirmed that the excise tax stamps do not correspond to the established model in terms of printing methods and special elements of protection.

In addition according to the expert's opinion, alcohol-containing mixtures are manufactured in violation of established technological requirements and do not meet the requirements of DSTU.

Currently the person involved has been notified of the suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal acquisition, storage, transportation for the purpose of sale of excise goods). The criminal proceedings were referred to the court with a plea agreement.

Prosecutors of the Volyn Regional Prosecutor's Office are in charge of the proceedings.
