The Territorial Department of the ESBU in the Lviv region together with the SSU and the prosecutor's office handed over electronic cigarettes worth more than UAH 10 million to the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Law enforcement officers identified a person who illegally sold electronic cigarettes using messengers. The goods were stored in the premises of one of the retail chains. It was there that 30,000 cigarettes were discovered during the search.

The organizer of the criminal scheme was informed of suspicion based on the fact of acquisition, transportation and storage for the purpose of sale of illegally manufactured excise goods (Part 1 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the detectives of the Territorial Department of the ESBU in the Lviv region under the operational support of the employees of the SSU department in the Lviv region and the procedural leadership of the Lviv regional prosecutor's office.

In the future the materials of the criminal proceedings were sent to the Lychakiv district court which made a decision on the transfer of cigarettes to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

We will remind that recently the detectives of the Territorial Department of the ESBU in the Lviv region completed a pre-trial investigation into an organized criminal group that sold illegally manufactured tobacco products.
