Detectives of the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau in the Odesa region have completed a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings regarding tax evasion. A company specializing in meat processing services has fully reimbursed the state for the damages caused.
The grounds for entering information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations (ERDR) were analytical products from the Information Analysis and Risk Management Department of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Odesa region.
The investigation established that the enterprise organized the temporary employment of citizens at a poultry farm for seasonal work. After receiving payment for the work performed, officials of the outsourcing company artificially inflated the company's expenses by UAH 26 million in their tax reporting. Consequently, nearly UAH 4.7 million in corporate income tax was not paid to the state budget.

Based on the collected evidence, detectives served the company officials with a notice of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional tax evasion).
During the pre-trial investigation, the enterprise voluntarily reimbursed UAH 4.7 million in unpaid taxes. The funds have already been credited to the state budget. The criminal case has been referred to court.
Operational support was provided by detectives from the Economic Strategic Protection Department of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Odesa region.
Prosecutorial oversight is being carried out by the Odesa Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
