Detectives of the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in Kyiv have exposed and shut down an illegal gas station selling illicitly manufactured fuel. A fuel tanker used for deliveries was also seized.
The investigation established that the gas station operated without a retail fuel license or any documentation confirming the origin and quality of the products.
During authorized searches, officials seized two fuel dispensers, ledger records, a fuel tanker, and approximately 3,000 liters of illegally produced fuel.

The estimated value of the seized property is about UAH 2.5 million.
Forensic examinations have been scheduled. The identification of individuals involved in the illegal activities is ongoing.

Operational support is being provided by the Strategic Economic Protection Detectives Department of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in Kyiv, with procedural guidance from the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.
The ESBU has transformed its approach to countering offenses in the fuel and lubricants sector. This involves not just recording facts of illegal activity, but primarily depriving offenders of the key tools for its execution—infrastructure, equipment, and logistics. This prevents the re-establishment of illegal operations.
