ESBU detectives exposed a supply channel of Ukrainian electrical devices to the russian federation

 Detectives of the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in the Kyiv region, together with operatives from the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police, have liquidated a scheme to bypass sanctions on the supply of Ukrainian products to the russian federation.

During complex measures, officials of an enterprise in the Kyiv region were exposed for organizing the illegal wholesale sale of Ukrainian electrical devices to a russian industrial manufacturer.

The investigation established that since August 2022, despite the sanctions, the Ukrainian company regularly supplied electromechanical devices to a russian enterprise that cooperates with the state structures of the rf. This equipment is used in automation and security systems and is critical for the operation of the public sector of the aggressor country's economy.

To conceal the illegal shipments, the individuals involved organized a complex logistical scheme. Ukrainian products were documented for a fictitious company in the Middle East, after which the cargo was delivered to russia in transit through European Union countries.

In this manner, several wholesale batches of electromechanical devices, totaling approximately UAH 9 million, were transported to the rf.

Currently, the suspects have been notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 28 and Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (aiding the aggressor state, committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons). The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to twelve years with confiscation of property.
