Detectives of the Territorial Department of the ESBU in Volyn region exposed a group of local residents who organised the illegal production and sale of counterfeit alcohol.

It was established that the individuals manufactured excisable products in a garage located in city Lutsk.

As a result of the searches the officers of the ESBU seized more than 2,000 litres of alcohol and 200 litres of alcoholic beverages in cardboard boxes of the "bag in box" type.

The estimated value of the seized property is over half a million hryvnias.

The full range of involved persons is currently being identified the issue of seizure of the seized property is being decided.

The pre-trial investigation under Part 1 Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal storage and sale of excisable goods) and Part 1, 2 Art. 199 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (manufacture, storage, purchase, transportation, shipment, importation into Ukraine for use in the sale of goods, sale or sale of counterfeit excise stamps) is being conducted by detectives of the Territorial Department of the ESBU in Volyn region.
