On February 20, a meeting of the Board of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine was held. The event was attended by heads of divisions and territorial administrations of ESBU and members of the Board. In particular, Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Oleg Nemchinov, Chairman of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission Ruslan Magomedov, Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine for Executive Service Andriy Gaichenko, acting Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Tetyana Kiriyenko and Director of the Institute of Demography and Social Research named after M.V. Ptouhka of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Ella Libanova.
During the report on the results of the work of the Acting Director of the ESBU, Andrii Pashchuk, noted that during 2023, the ESBU's detectives provided compensation to the budget of UAH 2.2 billion in all criminal proceedings. Also, the Bureau's analysts created 1,005 analytical products (in the form of analysts' conclusions) regarding identified risks that affect the economic security of the state in the budgetary, tax, customs, monetary or investment spheres. In order to eliminate them, ESBU specialists sent appropriate proposals for amendments to the relevant normative legal acts. At the same time, criminal proceedings were initiated based on the facts of the detected offenses.
At the end of the meeting, members of the collegium approved the Strategy of Institutional Development of the Bureau until 2027 and the draft Report on the activities of the Bureau for 2023.
