Detectives of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine announced a search warrant for the former head of a state-owned enterprise in the defense sector for violating bail conditions.

Earlier, criminal proceedings were opened on the facts of his and three co-conspirators' possession of state funds.

During the selection of the precautionary measure, a deposit of UAH 1.8 million was made for the head of the enterprise, but he violated the duties assigned to him. As a result, the court approved a motion to transfer the amount of the deposit to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, the accused was declared wanted.

It will be recalled that the investigation established that the director of the state-owned enterprise and his accomplices signed a contract for the supply of a power amplifier module for military equipment for UAH 3.9 million. The parties have formally fulfilled the terms of the contract. However, they received part of the money from the customer.

Thanks to the detectives of the Bureau, the remaining amount under the contract, which is UAH 2 million, was not transferred from the accounts of the state-owned enterprise.

Pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings is carried out by detectives of the Bureau, operational support by the Security Service of Ukraine, and procedural management by prosecutors of the Office of the General Prosecutor of Ukraine.
