Detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Volyn region have completed two pre-trial investigations against persons who organized the sale of illegally produced liquids for electronic cigarettes.

Residents of the regional center of Volyn appear in both criminal proceedings.

The suspects bought counterfeit goods online. Illegally manufactured products were sold through a retail network in Lutsk, Gorokhov, and Rozhysh.

Detectives of the Bureau conducted searches in 8 retail outlets and seized electronic cigarettes, liquids, and sets of components for them, hookah tobacco. The estimated value of the seized is about UAH 2 million.

The men were charged with committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal acquisition, storage, transportation for sale of illegally manufactured excise goods). The indictments have been sent to the court.

Operational support was carried out by employees of the Department of Detectives for Strategic Economic Protection together with employees of the 6th Volyn Border Detachment of the State Border Service of Ukraine. Prosecutors of the Volyn Regional Prosecutor's Office are in charge of the proceedings.
