An Odesa-based agricultural supplier has reimbursed nearly UAH 19.3 million in unpaid taxes and penalties to the budget

 Based on materials of detectives of the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in the Odesa region, an agricultural supplier involved in soybean exports has reimbursed over UAH 18.7 million in unpaid taxes to the budget.

Detectives established that the enterprise, which specializes in the wholesale trade of agricultural products, shipped goods to other companies and exported them to Turkey, Romania, and the United Arab Emirates. In total, approximately 10.5 thousand tons of soybeans of unknown origin, with an estimated value of UAH 104 million, were sold.

Subsequently, the company's officials submitted tax reports to the regulatory authority in which they understated corporate income tax by concealing a portion of their income. As a result of these intentional actions, the enterprise failed to pay over UAH 18.7 million in taxes to the state budget.

During the pre-trial investigation, the agricultural supplier voluntarily reimbursed the unpaid taxes and paid the associated financial penalties. Funds amounting to UAH 19.3 million have already been transferred to the budget.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional tax evasion) has been completed. The indictment has been referred to court.
