Detectives of the Territorial Department of the ESBU in Zakarpattia region sent to court an indictment against a Ukrainian citizen who purchased and transported illegally manufactured tobacco products without excise stamps of Ukraine for sale.

It was established that in August 2023, the citizen of Ukraine purchased illegally manufactured tobacco products and subsequently transported them for sale to one of the settlements of Zakarpattia region.

During the inspection of the vehicle 100 thousand packs of cigarettes without excise stamps were seized. Their estimated value is over UAH 4 million.

The criminal was served a notice of suspicion under Part 1 Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The indictment was submitted to the court.

The operation was conducted by prosecutors of the Zakarpattia Region Prosecutor's Office.
