 The Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine will cooperate with the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine to establish all the facts contained in the recordings made as part of Operation Midas, which suggest that the individuals involved spent illicit funds on law enforcement agencies, including the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine.

"As of today, most of the management team that was working at the time the tapes were recorded has resigned. At the same time, I do not rule out the possibility that some people involved in this situation may have remained. We will assist our colleagues and also work independently to identify these individuals,” said Oleksandr Tsyvinskyi in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda.

According to him, law enforcement agencies should be consolidated. At the same time, the ESBU does not investigate corruption among its own employees—other agencies are responsible for this.
