Detectives from the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in the Poltava region have completed four pre-trial investigations into the illegal sale of diesel fuel.
The investigation established that each of the four suspects sold excise goods without any permits or licenses.
All of them traded from mobile gas stations in Poltava and Dnipro throughout the year. The men transported diesel fuel in barrels to order, which they received through websites and social networks.
As a result of the investigative actions, more than 3.6 tons of diesel fuel and two vehicles used for illegal trade were seized from the suspects.
All four criminal proceedings have been referred to court with indictments on charges of committing a criminal offense under Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal manufacture, storage, sale, or transportation for sale of excisable goods).
Procedural guidance is being conducted by the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office.
