"Trust and open dialogue are the foundation of our work," – Oleksandr Tsyvinskyi at a meeting with Volyn businesses

 The Director of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine, Oleksandr Tsyvinskyi, met with representatives of more than 20 leading Volyn companies during a working visit to Lutsk. Among them were enterprises from the agricultural sector, construction, and light and food industries.

The main goal of the meeting was to discuss local challenges and determine real steps that would help reduce the shadow economy, level the tax burden, and eliminate unfair competition.

According to Oleksandr Tsyvinskyi, such dialogue allows for faster solution finding. Each region has its own specifics, and it is important for the ESBU to hear what challenges businesses face locally.

"We are looking for joint solutions and responding to appeals. We already have concrete examples of effective cooperation. And our joint result is the growth of budget revenues," he noted.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the key areas of the ESBU's work in the region: countering shadow schemes in the agricultural and construction industries, creating equal conditions for producers, and supporting legal businesses.

Oleksandr Tsyvinskyi emphasized that open and regular dialogue with entrepreneurs is the foundation for quality planning of the Bureau's territorial departments' work.

As part of the trip, he also took part in a meeting of the Volyn Regional State Administration (RDA) involving the regional leadership, the Mayor of Lutsk, and law enforcement agencies. During the discussion, common priorities were identified: combating the illegal circulation of excisable goods and smuggling, countering tax evasion schemes, and de-shadowing the agricultural sector.
