The Analysts of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine together with IBM developed an automated risk detection system using SPSS Modeler.

The Deputy Director of the ESBU represented by Andrii PASHCHUK mentioned that the main purpose of the developed system is to automate the analysis of the big data to identify business entities that pose a threat to economic security.

This system will also minimize the impact on the real sector of the economy since the algorithm of the automated system works based on a risk-oriented approach using the SPSS modeler and it consists of 5 stages of analysis of business entities. Currently, a number of working meetings and consultations between the analysts of the ESBU and IBM specialists are planned for its further improvement and integration into the Unified Information System of the ESBU.

The Director of IBM in Ukraine Anton SIEROV during the representation of the system noted that such a combination of analytical work and innovations has proven to be effective in practice.

Earlier, the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine presented a model of the Unified Information System. When developing the technical requirements for the Unified Information System, the ESBU experts consulted with representatives of leading Ukrainian and global companies, as well as the experts from the European Union Advisory Mission Ukraine (EUAM) and the Estonian Centre for International Development (ESTDEV).
