The Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine is launching a new project titled “Economic Shield.” This was announced by the Director of the ESBU, Oleksandr Tsyvinskyi, during a meeting with the Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, and representatives of the business community.
According to him, the project will become a starting point for building a system in which businesses will feel not pressure but genuine partnership with the Bureau.
“Our goal is to ensure equal rules and fair conditions for all those who comply with the requirements of the law. This is a key prerequisite for sustainable business development and for strengthening trust between business and the state,” noted Oleksandr Tsyvinskyi during his address.

In addition, the Director of the Bureau emphasized that one of the important elements of the new ESBU philosophy will be the determination of an economic security index for each region. It is for this purpose that the Economic Shield project is being implemented. It provides for an analytical assessment of the situation in the regions, identification of threats to economic security, prompt resolution of issues, etc.
During the meeting, participants also discussed further cooperation between ESBU and businesses in the fight against the shadow economy. In total, representatives of more than 40 of the largest enterprises in the Odesa region, the leadership of the Odesa Regional State Administration, and the public sector took part in the event.
