Last week, an important meeting took place between Minister of Defence Troels Lund Poulsen, who arrived in Kyiv with a delegation from the Kingdom of Denmark, and the leadership of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, and the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.
Denmark continues to demonstrate consistent support for Ukraine — not only at the political level but also through the promotion of integrity, support for anti-corruption efforts, and strengthening of defence capabilities. In particular, an example of this is the “Danish Model” — a mechanism for financing arms procurement for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Transparency and integrity in defence procurement remain key priorities for Denmark.
During the meeting, the parties discussed ongoing support in the field of corruption prevention, opportunities to enhance anti-corruption efforts, and further cooperation at the working level to minimise corruption risks.
We are grateful to our Danish partners for their continuous support of Ukraine, as well as for our shared commitment to good governance and building trust — both in the public sector and in the field of defence.
