The ESBU in the Volyn refers the case to court over the illegal storage of 4,000 liters of fuel

 Detectives of the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in the Volyn region have completed a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings regarding the illegal acquisition and storage of diesel fuel for the purpose of sale. The indictment has been referred to the court.

The investigation established that a resident of the Lyubeshiv district was not registered as a business entity and did not possess the required licenses. He illegally acquired and stored manufactured diesel fuel in a warehouse.

During the pre-trial investigation, four plastic containers with a capacity of 1,000 liters each, filled with fuel, were seized along with a rubber hose and a fuel nozzle. The total volume of the seized fuel is approximately 4,000 liters.

The suspect has been notified of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal acquisition and storage for the purpose of sale of illicitly manufactured excise goods). The indictment has been referred to the court.

The illegal activity was shut down during control and verification measures conducted by the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in the Volyn region. The pre-trial investigation was carried out by detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Volyn region, with procedural oversight provided by prosecutors of the Volyn Regional Prosecutor's Office.
