The ESBU in the Kyiv region has ensured the reimbursement of UAH 28 million in unpaid taxes to the budget

 Detectives of the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in the Kyiv region, under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, have ensured the reimbursement of UAH 28 million to the state budget within two criminal proceedings regarding tax evasion.

In one case, it was established that a company official intentionally applied a reduced corporate income tax rate. As a result, the budget failed to receive over UAH 22 million.

In the other case, a private company evaded value-added tax (VAT) and excise tax during the sale of excisable products. The total loss to the state amounted to over UAH 6 million.

Pre-trial investigations were initiated based on analytical products prepared by specialists from the ESBU Territorial Office in the Kyiv region.

During the investigation, detectives ensured full restitution of the damages caused to the state. The criminal proceedings have been referred to court with motions to release the individuals from criminal liability due to the full reimbursement of losses.
