The ESBU in Bukovyna serves notices of suspicion to three individuals for forging driver's licenses

 Detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Chernivtsi region have exposed a group of individuals who manufactured and sold forged driver's licenses with holographic security elements. All suspects have been served with notices of suspicion.

The investigation established that two men organized the illegal acquisition, storage, and sale of holographic security elements, which were subsequently used to manufacture forged official documents. Another suspect carried out similar illegal activities independently.

The suspects accepted orders for forged driver's licenses, obtaining document copies, photographs, and funds from clients before passing the collected data for the production of counterfeits. The finished documents were delivered to customers either in person or via postal services.

The cost of a single forged driver's license ranged from 300 to 350 euros, depending on the vehicle category.

According to forensic reports, the seized license blanks do not match the official specimens currently in circulation.

All three individuals have been served with notices of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 199 and Part 3 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (sale of illegally obtained holographic security elements, as well as the forgery and sale of official documents).

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. Efforts are underway to identify the full circle of individuals involved in the illegal activity.
