Detectives of the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in the Kyiv region have shut down the operations of three illegal gas stations. The fuel retail points were operating in the Vyshhorod and Bucha districts.
The investigation established that the gas stations carried out retail fuel sales without the necessary permits. Specifically, they lacked licenses for the retail trade of fuel, quality certificates, and documents confirming the fuel's origin. Additionally, the gas stations did not use cash registers (RRO).
During the investigative actions, more than 7 tons of diesel fuel, over 3 tons of A-95 gasoline, and 4 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) were seized. Cash obtained from the illegal sale of fuel was also confiscated.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal manufacture, storage, sale, or transportation for the purpose of sale of excisable goods) is ongoing.
Efforts are underway to establish the full circle of individuals involved in the illegal activity.
Procedural guidance is being provided by prosecutors of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
