The ESBU has uncovered illegal alcohol production in the Cherkasy region: 12 tons of products worth over UAH 4 million were seized

 Detectives from the Main Detective Division of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine exposed a group of individuals who organized the illegal production of alcoholic beverages in the Cherkasy region.

During the pre-trial investigation, it was discovered that the company had obtained a license to manufacture alcoholic beverages to conceal its illicit activities. In fact, company officials organized the production of alcohol without excise stamps and sold it unofficially. The company did not officially obtain excise stamps and did not reflect sales in its financial and economic reports.

As a result of authorized searches at the production facility, detectives of the ESBU seized approximately 12 tons of liquid with a characteristic alcohol odor. In addition, searches were conducted on the office premises and at the residences of the suspects, and financial and economic documents, rough notes, and mobile phones were seized. The estimated value of the seized goods and materials is more than UAH 4 million.

Forensic examinations have been ordered, and the full circle of persons involved in illegal activities is being established.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

The proceedings are being conducted by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
