The ESBU detectives seized 20 tons of illegal fuel from Odesa gas stations

 Detectives of the Main Detective Unit of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine stopped the illegal activities of three gas stations in Odesa. The gas stations operated in violation of the legal requirements regarding the production, distribution, and sale of alcohol, tobacco, and fuel. These filling stations were illegally storing and selling counterfeit petroleum products and lubricants.

During the searches, detectives dismantled and seized the gas station's equipment, including modular fueling complexes, fuel-dispensing columns with components, and several horizontal steel tanks of varying volumes in which the fuel was stored.

In total, as a result of the searches, almost 20 tons of illegally produced diesel fuel and gasoline were seized.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing into the commission of a criminal offense under Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal acquisition, storage, and sale of fuel).

The ESBU is establishing all persons involved in the operation of the illegal gas stations.
