The Director of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine stated this during a meeting with Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, Chair of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Ukraine's Integration into the European Union. Taras Shcherbai, First Deputy Director of the ESBU, also attended the meeting.
The parties discussed the Bureau's role in the European integration process, the ESBU's analytical potential, and the fulfillment of obligations to international partners.
Oleksandr Tsyvinskyi emphasized that the roadmap for Ukraine's accession to the European Union serves as a benchmark for the Bureau's activities, and the presence of territorial offices is a vital component for the effective implementation of this course.
Particular attention was paid to the issue of designating the ESBU as a central executive body with special status, which would facilitate the effective protection of the state's financial interests.
The meeting also addressed the criminalization of specific offenses in accordance with EU standards to strengthen control over the use of international financial assistance.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed on further coordination and cooperation within the framework of Ukraine's European integration course.
