Andriy Pashchuk, Acting Director of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine, and Rostyslav Marchuk, Director of the Academy of Financial Monitoring , signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The document provides for retraining and advanced training of the ESBU employees based at the Academy. Leading Ukrainian and foreign lecturers and representatives of international organisations will conduct training on analysing information on combating money laundering, terrorist financing and illicit trafficking in virtual assets. “For us, the topic of cryptocurrencies is particularly relevant, in particular the development of effective mechanisms for tracking crypto. The signed Memorandum will strengthen our existing partnerships. In the near future, we plan to discuss the elaborated risk profiles of criminal offences," said Acting Director Andrii Pashchuk.
In this turn, Rostyslav Marchuk emphasized that the Academy is the only institution in Ukraine authorised to provide advanced training at the expense of the state budget. The educational institution has years of experience in training experts in financial monitoring, cryptocurrency research, and corruption prevention.
Today, almost 60 employees of the Bureau are upgrading their skills at theAcademy of Financial Monitoring to master modern analytical tools for combating economic crime.
The Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine has recently signed a Memorandum with the University of Customs and Finance.
