Based on the materials of detectives of the Territorial Department of the ESBU in Volyn region the court sentenced a resident of Lutsk who illegally produced alcoholic beverages.

The investigation established that the man was diluting alcohol with water in artisanal conditions and bottling the resulting mixture. The accused bought ethyl alcohol on the Internet and empty bottles at a glass recycling center. He pasted the finished counterfeit alcoholic beverages with excise tax stamps with signs of counterfeiting, making the products look like they were made in Ukraine.

The clandestine production was organized in the basement of a house, which the offender equipped with containers for diluting mixtures, devices and equipment for bottling liquid into glass bottles.

During the investigation the detectives of the ESBU found and seized containers with alcoholic beverage mixtures, empty containers, excise stamps with signs of forgery, and equipment.

The court found the person involved in the investigation guilty of committing criminal offenses under Art. 204, parts 1, 2, Art. 199 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced him to a fine and a one-year probation.

Based on Art. 75, 76 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the man was released from serving the main sentence of imprisonment with a one-year probation. The seized counterfeit alcohol mixtures, production equipment and excise stamps will be destroyed in accordance with the established procedure.
