Tax schemes worth UAH 11.5 million: ESBU detectives ensure full restitution of damages

 As a result of analytical work by specialists from the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau in the Poltava region, detectives identified a Kharkiv-based enterprise that evaded over UAH 11.5 million in taxes. The damages have been repaid in full.

According to the investigation, between 2023 and 2025, the company, which specializes in the food trade, evaded value-added tax (VAT) on an especially large scale. The former chief accountant failed to reflect completed financial and business transactions in tax reports, resulting in a shortfall of more than UAH 11.5 million for the budget.

During the pretrial investigation, ESBU detectives ensured that the enterprise fully compensated for the damages caused to the state.

The official has now been notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional tax evasion on an especially large scale). The criminal proceedings have been referred to court with a motion to release the individual from criminal liability.
