Over UAH 3.8 million in damages: ESBU exposed abuse of state property in the Lviv region

 Detectives of the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in the Lviv region exposed the head of a state-owned enterprise who illegally transferred state real estate for use by private entrepreneurs. Over UAH 3.8 million in damages were caused to the state.

The investigation established that the head of the state enterprise, without conducting the mandatory auction of the State Property Fund, transferred state premises to private entrepreneurs for their use.

Instead of formalizing official leases, service agreements were concluded, as a result of which the lessees did not pay a significant portion of the rent to the budget – either 70% or 30% of the funds, depending on the area of the premises.

The total amount of damages to the state budget exceeds UAH 3.8 million.

The head of the state enterprise was notified of suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for by Part 2 of Article. 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of power or official position).
