Over 96% of ESBU employees confirmed their readiness to undergo attestation

 The attestation process for employees is currently underway at the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine. Out of 1,187 employees subject to evaluation, 1,145 have submitted consent forms to undergo the process. This represents 96.4% of the total staff.

In the central office, 473 employees are subject to attestation, with 450 having submitted the relevant applications. In the territorial offices, 695 out of 714 employees subject to attestation have submitted their applications.

«The high percentage of employees who provided their consent demonstrates their readiness to undergo the professional competence and integrity assessment. This evaluation will be conducted by independent attestation commissions, which have already commenced their work,» stated Yurii Bielousov, Deputy Director for Digital Development, Digital Transformations, and Digitization of the ESBU.

In addition, 40 employees exercised their right not to submit an application for attestation, while two others officially declined it. The law provides that ESBU employees subject to attestation may choose not to apply or may decline to undergo the process if they are pregnant, on maternity or childbirth leave, on parental leave for childcare, performing basic military service, called up for military service (including officer corps conscription, mobilization during a special period), or serving under contract.

During these circumstances, such employees may undergo attestation at their own request or decline it for that period.

The submission of an application is the first stage of the procedure. Attestation involves several phases: computer-based testing on knowledge of legislation, general aptitude testing, and interviews with the attestation commission to assess integrity and professional competence. The composition of the commissions is formed on a parity basis with the participation of international partners.

The ESBU employee attestation process is expected to be completed by February 2027.
