Over 10 million UAH was reimbursed to the budget in the case of fictitious purchases of agricultural products

 An agricultural enterprise specializing in agricultural product trade reimbursed 10.6 million UAH in unpaid taxes to the state budget. The director of the company tried to conceal real income with the help of fictitious purchases. However, after the shadow scheme was exposed and the investigation began, the suspect fully compensated the state for the damage caused.

Detectives of the TO of the ESBU in the Kyiv region established that the machinations took place in April 2026. The head of the company groundlessly formed a tax credit. For this purpose, he entered operations for the purchase of large batches of wheat and rapeseed into the accounting records. In reality, there was no delivery of goods, and the agreements existed only on paper.

The total value of such non-commodity operations amounted to 75.7 million UAH. The official transferred all this false information to the official tax reporting. In this manner, the company artificially inflated its own expenses, as a result of which the state treasury shorted over 10.6 million UAH of value-added tax.

The general director of the enterprise was notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—intentional tax evasion by an official of an enterprise, which led to the actual non-receipt of funds into the budget in large amounts.

During the pretrial investigation, the suspect reimbursed 10.6 million UAH of unpaid taxes. A motion to release him from criminal liability has been forwarded to the court.
